Plastic Prom 2008

i made this dress for my senior prom. before anyone asks: it took a week of fairly non-intensive work. i used a couple of patterns for the basic pieces and then figured the rest out myself. it's made out of plastic bags, thread, a zipper, and some velcro. there's no contest for this like there is for duct tape. a guy i know named ryan gave me the suggestion. inspiration for the design itself came mostly from vivienne westwood (the corset-style top and the draping on the skirt).
